Rites Arranged For Mrs. Hey

Funeral for Aged County Woman Will Be Tuesday

Funeral services have been arranged for Mrs. Louise C. Hey, widow of John Hey, Sr., who died at her home south of this city Saturday t 1:20 p.m.

Mrs. Hey was a member of the First Evangelical Church and the last rites will be held there Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Richard F. Rasche officiating. Burial, in charge of the Ewing mortuary, will be made in the Miller cemetery. Friends may call at the late home and are asked to omit flowers.
MRS. HEY had been in failing health for several years and had been bedfast for the past year. She was 80 years of age and had resided on the farm home where death occurred since her marriage to Mr. Hey on February 14, 1895. He preceded her in death in November, 1938.
She was born in Franklin county on December 5, 1868, the daughter of Justus and Mary M. (Thomas) Becht. She is survived by five sisters, and three brothers. They are Mrs. Catherine Adam of rural route 5; Mrs. Mary Jackson of Metamora; Mrs. Emma Oakley of Connersville; Mrs. Minnie Schlagel of Cambridge City; Mrs. Coral Jolliff of Rushville; Henry Becht of Milroy; Louis of Glenwood and William of Connersville. Also surviving is Mrs. Lydia Schonfeld who was reared by Mr. and Mrs. Hey. (Obit: The Shelbyville Democrat, July 10, 1949)
