Chas. D. Johnson and Mrs. Minnie Wedl were united in marriage at Minneapolis yesterday, at least so the papers state, and Charlie has kept the matter so quiet that not even the reporters can get at the facts. The groom is the junior partner in the drug firm of McFadden & Johnson and is a young business man of sterling qualities, a general favorite among his associates, and who all will wish him unbounded joy in the marriage relation. The bride is a well-known Brainerd lady who has resided in the city for a number of years. The Dispatch extends congratulations. (Brainerd Dispatch, 21 May 1886, p. 4, c. 5)
