Mrs Catharine Kuhn 77 years 5 months and 1 day died at her late home 41/2 miles east of this city on the Cynthiana Pike at 5:30 o'clock Monday evening. She had been ill but one week with the lagrippe and bowel trouble but her age prevented recovery.
For the past 75 years of her life she had been a resident of the county coming here from Boslost Germany where she was born August 30 1838 the daughter of George Michael Theobald and wife. She was the last of a family of five children. On April 22 1858 she was married to Mr Kuhn and they became the parents of 11 children 7 of whom survive. The father and four children have been dead for several years. Those surviving are Conrad H, Robert J, Louis M, Oscar F, Edward F, Daniel W and Mrs Catharine Laird.
Deceased was a member of the German Evangelical Protestant church in Union township she joining at the age of 16 years. She was left a widow at the age of 50.
The funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock Thursday morning at the German church in Union township. The Rev Samuel Caldemeyer of this city will be in charge. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
