Nickel Plate Telegraph Operator Dies at Home in South I Street.

John Milton Dennis, 66, residing at 1226 South I street, died at 5:30 o'clock this morning, after an illness of three days.

He was the son of William and Abbie Dennis and was born at Windfall October 2, 1871. He was united in marriage to Margaret Gilson, May 5, 1889.

Mr. Dennis was employed as telegraph operator at the Nickel plate depot.

Seven Children Survive.

Surviving besides the widow are seven children, Mrs. Irene Francis and Mrs. Mary Hobbs, both of Ogden, Utah; Walter Dennis, Newport, Ky.; R. P. Dennis and Ralph Dennis, both of Elwood; Byron Dennis, St. Mary's, O., and Charles Dennis, of Alexandria; six sisters, Mrs. Sarah Gordon, north of the city; Mrs. Edna Weaver, of Ashtabula, O.; Mrs. Lena Mitchell, Kokomo; Mrs. Naomi Shigley, Miss Jessie Dennis and Mrs. Julia VanWinkle, all of Windfall, and four brothers, Charles Dennis, Detroit, Mich.; George Dennis, Elwood; Colonel Dennis, Windfall, and Willard Dennis, of Kokomo.

The body was removed to the Copher and Fesler Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at the Windfall M. E. Church Tuesday morning at 10:30 o'clock. Burial will be in the Brookside cemetery, Windfall.
