CHESTER PHILLIPS TRANSIENT, DIES IN HOSPITAL
Chester Phillips, a labor, who has been hospitalized locally since early March, died today at the age of 54. He is survived by a brother, Bryan Phillips of Fresno, and a sister, Mrs. A. Doyle of Compton. Phillips was known as Edward Mears by local physicians until the arrival here today of his brother, who identified him as Chester Phillips. Little is known of Phillips by local authorities. He became ill while passing through Hollister.
