Mrs. Hostetter died Monday in Emporia where she had recently lived with her daughter Marie Wood.
She was born Sept 5, 1889, in Lawrence where hse had been a lifelong resident. She was a member of the Plymouth Congregational Church and a life member of district No. 6 of the Recreation Club. She was part-owner and helped operate the Chamney Dairy for many years.
Survivors include a son, Edward H. Chamney, 3515 W. Eighth Ct.; two daughters, Mrs. Marie Wood, Emporia, and Mrs. Margaret Messenheimer, Minneapolis, Minn.; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to the Lawrence Visiting Nurses Assn. or Meals on Wheels in care of the funeral home.
Friends may call from noon until 9 p.m. Wednesday, and until service time Thursday.
