THE DEATH OF ELVIRA HAYDEN
Dayton, November 14 - Mrs. Elvira Hayden, widow of William Hayden, died at noon today at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Wyant, with whom she had made her home since the death of her husband 28 years ago. She suffered a broken hip in a fall five weeks ago. She was a daughter of Benjamin and Mary Hart, born near Jefferson, Indiana, December 21, 1849. Her marriage to William Hayden took place September 30, 1872. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ada Linn, of Onarga, Illinois, and six grandchildren. Early in life Mrs. Hayden became a member of Salem U. B. church, later transferring her membership to Stockwell M. E. church. The body will be removed from the Baker funeral home to the Wyant residence where friends may call after 2 P.M. Wednesday. Funeral services will be held at the residence at 2:30 P.M. Thursday, the Rev. E. E. Kuhns officiating, interment in Salem cemetery.
