Rosemary Williams, age 91, a resident of Swiss Village in Berne, IN, and a former rural Portland, IN resident, died Friday afternoon, August 5, 2011, in the care facility.
Rosemary Williams was born May 11, 1920 in Jay County, the daughter of Erple Ivan and Ava (Jetter) Atkinson. She was married October 16, 1937 to Roger Q. Williams. He died January 10, 1999.
Rosemary is survived by one son, Edward M. Williams of rural Portland, IN; one daughter, Linda L. Hall of Indianapolis, IN; two sisters, Ruth Morgan of Albany, IN, and Nova Evans of Albany, IN; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at 11 a.m. in the Portland Chapel of the Williamson & Spencer Funeral Home. Pastor Vernon Piercey will officiate and burial will follow in the Green Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, August 3, 2011.
