MERIGOLD — Ardis Cochran Daves, 70, of Eunice, La., formerly of Merigold and Nesbit, retired Postal Service clerk, died Saturday at a hospital in Eunice after a heart attack. Services will be at 11 am. today at Fletcher-Nowell Funeral Home of Cleveland with burial in Merigold Cemetery. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Eunice. Mrs. Daves, the widow of Hoyt Daves, leaves a daughter, Carla Troxclair of Eunice: three sisters, Laura Erwin of Whitehaven, Alice Caviness of Olive Branch and Martha Sayle of Nesbit; four brothers, Billy Cochran of Merigold, Charles Cochran and Bobby Cochran, both of Memphis, and Perkins Cochran of Bridgetown, three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
