(NOTE: John James, Jr. died from wounds he sustained in a raid in Scituate in 1678 during King Philips War; in 1680 his widow Lydia 2nd m: WILLIAM BARRELL of Boston, MA).

Capt. John James in 3/1700 in Scituate m: EUNICE "Eunies" (STETSON), b.3/1683, Scituate, MA, d.8/1781, Scituate, MA, a daughter of Capt. BENJAMIN STETSON and BETHIAH (HAWKE) of Scituate, MA, and paternal granddaughter of Coronet ROBERT STETSON and HONOUR (TUCKER) of Scituate, MA.
