Wilbert L. Wasson, 88, a resident of the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home, formerly of Entriken, died Monday, August 20, 2001, at 10:33 p.m. in the emergency room of Bon Secours Holy Family Hospital, Altoona, following a lengthy illness.

Born January 15, 1913, in Lincoln Township, Huntingdon County, he was the son of the late Archie and Elsie M. (Fisher) Wasson. He married Juanita Mae Stark November 13, 1945 in Preston, Idaho.

Surviving are two sons, Wilbert Leroy Dunkley and Doyle Glenn Dunkley, both of Clearfield, Utah. There are seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

One sister, Mildred Grace Long of Sunbury, survives.

Mr. Wasson was of the Protestant faith. He retired in 1969, after a number of years in construction.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 24, at 2;30 p.m., at the D. Ronald Long Funeral Chapel, Saxton, with the Rev. Frank Sapp officiating. Interment will be made in the Entriken Cemetery, will full military honors.

Friends may call at the funeral chapel Friday from 1:30 p.m. until the hour of the services.
