The death of Ed Alley, a lifelong resident of Windfall took place at the family home there Monday night at 11:30 o'clock. Death was due to cancer of the larynx, from which he had been suffering for several years. Mr. Alley had been in failing health for nine years at that time his throat becoming infected and he was only able to talk in little more than a whisper. Following the death the body
was removed to the S. S. Kdwards mortuary and prepared for burial
and was later removed to the home. Funeral services will be
held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 at the Baptist church and will be conducted by Rev. J.A. Land. Burial will be in Windfall cemetery at Windfall. Mr. Alley who was the son of Cyrus and Jane Alley, pioneers of the Windfall community, was born in Windfall, September 19th, 1877. He was united in marriage to Miss Golda Fite of Windfall, July 3, 1911. The widow and eight children survive this marriage. The children are Ralph, Alice, Henry, Mary, Alba, Dorothy, Joe and Helen. Two sons died in infancy. He is also survived by three brothers, Joe and Dan Alley of Windfall; John Alley, of Curtisville; and three sisters; Mrs. Alba Anderson, of Anderson; Mrs. George Graff, of Sharpsville and Mrs. Margaret Rice, of Illinois.
