MRS. C. JEWISON PASSES AWAY
Dies at the Family Home Several Miles Northeast of Janesville at Two O'clock Saturday Morning After Long Illness
FUNERAL HELD TUESDAY A. M.
Although her passing away had been anticipated yet the death of Mrs. Chris Jewison on 2 o'clock Saturday morning last caused a feeling of profound sorrow and grief in the community.
The deceased had been ill for about two years with a complication of diseases. Medical science and human skill served to relive the sufferer and lighten the burden of illness. But it could not withstay the approach of death and the dissolution of that is the end of all humanity. Mrs. Jewison bore the trial with patience, fortitude and resignation. She was a most estimable woman whose life was one of good deeds and kindly ministrations. She was the friend of all and all were her friends. She was beloved and respected wherever she was known.
Mrs. Jewison's maiden name was Miss Susie Hughes. She was sixty-three years of age. She was born and reared in Wisconsin where she was married. Thirty-two years ago she came to Minnesota and since that time has resided east of the lake in Janesville Township.
She was the mother of five children all of whom together with her husband survive her. They are the Misses Mary and Pearl and Edward, Roy and Willie. They all reside at home.
The funeral was conducted Tuesday morning from St. Ann's Catholic Church, Rev. Thos. McCarty, officiating, and the remains laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery.
The stricken family have the sincere sympathy of many friends in their affliction.
