Anna Balding, 96, of Albion, died at 12:40 a.m. Friday, July 18, 1997, at her home.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Ingram Funeral Home in Albion. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Balding was born April 25, 1901, in Wayne County, the daughter of John and Alice (Nicholson) Ramsey. She married Alva Balding Sept. 29, 1924, in Eldorado. He preceded her in death Feb. 27, 1963.

She was a homemaker and was a member of First Christian Church in Albion.

She is survived by three, sons, Max Balding, of Albion, Neil Balding, of Albion, and Darrell Balding, of Jacksonville, Fla.; three daughters, Norma Jean Leigh and her husband, Dale, of Albion, Shirley McCluskey and her husband, Floyd, of Albion, and Linda Hewitt and her husband, Frank, of Springfie1d; 12 grandchildren; one step-grandchild; 17 great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Sheryl St. Pierre, a son, Donald Balding, four brothers, Barton Ramsey, Rosco Ramsey, Ross Ramsey and Loren Ramsey, and four sisters, Jessie Sulzer, Ruth Ramsey, Alicia Burrell and Nena Horton.
