Son of Jessie Franklin Long and Gracie Pauline Lawrence. Enlisted in The Army Nov. 17th, 1941 at Camp Shelby, Mississippi. Married Jessie Gray, May 31, 1943 in Archer City Texas. He and Jessie had three children, Gladys Ann, Wanda Bea and Eddy Paul, six grandchildren and six Great Grandchildren. He worked in the Texas oil field many years. He died from cancer at Hughley Memorial Hospital, his body was cremated and his ashes is scattered under the big tree at his Daughters house in Cleburne, Tx where he spent his remaining last years.
