Z.W. Sutphen, 87, longtime Stephens County resident worked in the oil fields in Stephens County during the boom. He farmed near Caddo before his retirement several years ago.
He and his wife made their home at Villa Haven the past 10 months.

Survived by his wife; two sons - Joe Rush Sutphen of Borger and Samuel Wallace Sutphen of California; one brother - Oxshur Sutphen of Weatherford; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
