Edwin St. Clair Adams is the first born son of Maxwell Barry Adams and Caroline Armstrong. Edwin drowned after falling into the Humboldt Bay while playing with some friends.


SAD ACCIDENT - It is with pain we announce the death by drowning, of St. Clair, the eldest son of Mr. And Mrs. Barry Adams of this place. The little boy was first missed, we believe, about four o’clock on Thursday afternoon. Serious apprehensions for his safety were not entertained until towards evening. As soon as the fact became generally . . .

We were requested, in behalf of Mr. And Mrs. Adams, to return their thanks to the citizens of Eureka, for their kind and generous services rendered in the recovery of the body of their child St. Clair.
