ELMER M. ELEY DIES EARLY THIS MORNING
Blue Creek Township Resident Dies Today
Elmer M. Eley, 66, a lifelong resident of Blue Creek
Township, died at 1 o'clock this morning at the Adams County
Memorial Hospital of a stroke suffered a few weeks ago. He
was brought to the hospital last week from the home of a
daughter, Mrs. Claude Buchanan at Willshire, Ohio.
He was born in Blue Creek Township October 12, 1876, the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Eley. His wife died in 1927.
Surviving are the step-mother, Mrs. Hannah Eley of Berne;
three sons, Alger of Celina, Ohio, George of Halstead, Minn.,
and Harold of Willshire, Ohio; three daughters, Mrs. Buchanan
of Willshire, Mrs. Robert Pettigrew and Mrs. Herbert Minnear,
both of Anderson; three half-brothers, Guy Eley of Berne,
Howard Eley of Decatur and Dale Eley of Fort Wayne; and
three half-sisters, Mrs. Paul Felber and Mrs. Ed Davison, both
of Decatur and Mrs. Earl Mason of Oklahoma. One daughter
and one son are deceased.
Funeral services will be held (cut off)
