SHELBY -– H Cook Jr., 63, of 1230 Patterson St., passed away Friday, July 29, 2011, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
Born in Gaffney, Mr. Cook was the son of the late H Cook Sr. and Lorene Elizabeth Holtzclaw Wilson. He worked as a house painter and was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church.
Mr. Cookis survivedbya son, Gary Wayne Childers of Gaffney; a daughter, VeronicaAnnCookofCowpens; a sister, Etta Cook Evans Manning of Gaffney; a brother, Robert Holtzclaw of Gaffney; and a girlfriend, Patricia Dubose of the home.
Graveside services will be held Monday, Aug. 1, at 2 p.m. at Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. .
