FAYETTEVILLE — Cynthia "Cindy" Hawkins, 42, of Fayetteville departed this life to be with Jesus, Sunday, July 31, 2011. She was born Dec. 23, 1968, in Wheeler, Ark., to Lonnie Dean Greenlee and Melva Irene Frazier.

Cindy owned and operated a children's daycare "Cindy's Comfort Care" for several years before becoming an RN. She worked at Washington Regional and the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Fayetteville.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Darlene; her father in 2002; and her mother in 2003.

Cindy was a loving wife and mother and is survived by her husband, Roy "Buddy" Hawkins; three beautiful children, Charity, Kennedy and Koby Ryan Hawkins, all of the home; two brothers, Jackie Greenlee of Fayetteville and Don Greenlee of Springdale; two sisters, Dena Reyes and Sheila Flores, both of Springdale; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011, at Living Faith Church, with Dr. Buell Curtis and the Rev. Steve Curtis officiating. Burial will follow in White Oak Cemetery in Wheeler, under the direction of Beard's Chapel.

The family will receive friends at Beard's Chapel from 4 to 6 p.m. today.

The family requests that memorials in her name be made to Washington Regional Hospice, 34 Colt Square, Fayetteville, AR 72703; or The ALS Association, 1113 W. Poplar, Rogers, AR 72756.
