Amalia 'Mollie' Duran Rogers, 94, of San Angelo went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 31, 2011, at her residence surrounded by her family. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2011, in the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Emilio Sosa officiating. Burial will follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Amalia was born March 29, 1917, in Dripping Springs, Texas, to Gregorio and Cecilia (Castillo) Duran. She worked as an L.V.N. at the San Angelo State School in Carlsbad. Amalia loved to dance, fish, her family, having visitors and visiting folks. She loved her morning coffee and all her sweets.

Pallbearers will be Michael Vela, Ralph Costilla, Gerald Sandoval, Wayne Costilla, Will Coates and Ray Luna.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Rafaelita, Dolores, Adelina and Mary; and four brothers, Maximo, Soloman, Margarito and Adelino. Survivors include three daughters, Mary Rogers of Euless, Alice Rogers of San Angelo, Olga Morales and husband Bernabe of Amarillo; one sister, Dominga Barrios of San Antonio; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
