He was "farmed out" to his sister, Phoebe Hummer and bounced back and forth between Decatur County, IN and Butler County, OH for most of his life. The photograph of this marker, since it doesn't have his death date, was placed while he was still alive, anticipating his burial there. He may actually be buried in the Wesley Cemetery in Decatur County, IN,. He died,in Fort Wayne, IN, at his son's house, on 20 Jun 1921.
