She was a member of Concord United Methodist Church.. Mrs. Johnson taught school in Pittsylvania County until her retirement.
She was married to the late Chesley Lanier "Bud" Johnson.
She is survived by one sister, Elma T. Lanier of Jacksonville, FL. In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by four brothers, Berkley Toney, Cline Toney, Kermit Toney, and Virgil Toney
Funeral services will be conducted at Concord United Methodist Church on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Bob Ford and the Rev. Chris Bennett officiating. Burial will be at Concord United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Scott Funeral Home on Friday, July 29, 2011 from 7:00 PM till 8:00 PM and at other times will be at the residence of James Easley 2652 Concord Road, Chatham.
