Buhl Herald (p.1) 15 Apr 1920
"White Flynn, Carsey Ulrich are Killed. Lives of Two Buhl Men Snuffed Out When They Strike Match to Inspect Acytelene Lighting System."

Whitelaw Flynn is the son of Thomas Sherman Flynn (1865-1944) and Flora Isabelle Brown Flynn (1865-1954). Thomas or "TS" moved his family to the Buhl, Idaho area in early 1900's. The 1920's were expecially difficult for this family as they would loose their son, Claude S Flynn (1901-1920), in February 1920 influenza epidemic, their daughter, Violet Lillian Flynn Palmer (1894-1920), in March 1920, their son, Whitelaw Reid Flynn (1892-1920), in April 1920 explosion that also killed Whitlaws brother-in law, Carsey Ulrich. Two years later, in 1922, Thomas and Flora Flynn's son, Robert (1898-1922) would be shot and killed in a dispute in California. Thomas Sherman Flynn's mother, Ezylphia Wyatt Flynn, wife of Richard Lafayette Flynn, would pass in 1927. Though Ezylphia's death occurs in Cumberland Co., Tennesse it is announced in the Buhl Herald in Buhl, Twin Falls County, Idaho. Due to many from Tennessee who are related to her now living in this area.
Thomas and Flora Flynn moved during the 1930's to the Sacramento area of California where they expire. I have not located their burial sites.
