DEATH SUMMONS LENA H. OWENS

Mrs. Lena Hampton Owens, 77, Box Elder county pioneer and mother of County Commissioner Anthony Wayne Owens, died Wednesday at eleven fifty-five p.m.
Mrs. Owens was born at Knoxville, Tenn., on May 1, 1865, to Michael and Bettie Stevens Cox. She was reared and educated at Knoxville, and came to Corinne 60 years ago, where she resided since. She was married to Sylvester Owens, who died about three years ago.
She was an active member of the Methodist church, and was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
Surviving are three sons, Commissioner Owens of Brigham City; and Joseph L. and Melville Owens of Corinne; also four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at two p.m. in the Corinne Masonic Lodge, by the Reverend J. Edward Carver of Ogden. Burial will be in Corinne cemetery, directed by the Shaw and Rogers Mortuary of Tremonton.
Friends may call at the family home in Corinne Sunday evening and Monday until time of services.
