Son of Rev. James Ward a Moravian Missionary and Ester Hoyt Ward. Rev. Ward was murdered by (Pins) Sept. 2. 1862 at the Moravian Mission, New Springplace, Delaware County, (Oaks, Oklahoma). William was raised and educated by the Moravians in Bethlehem, Penn., where he married Roxanna Stannard. Henry possibly buried at Enid Cemetery, Enid, Oklahoma.
