Mr. York was born in Oblong, IL. He was the former owner of Rose Lumber & Hardware in Orlando.
Survivors include his daughters, Betty Y. Cox, Middleburg, Vivian Bishop, Columbus, Ga., Darlene Hawkins, Bushnell, Reta York, Astatula; 12 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 1, at the Center Hill Cemetery, Center Hill.
