Elisabeth Deddens Ambrose, 102, passed away May 4, 2003. She was born October 6, 1900 in Cincinnati, Ohio to William Deddens and Elisabeth Luthman Deddens. Elisabeth was a resident of Houston, Texas from January 1945 to August 1955, and since December 1968 until her death.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her six siblings, Margaret Buckley Smith, Wm. H. Deddens, Joseph Deddens, Helen Fowler, Anthony Deddens, and Dolores Wehlen; her husband of 59 years, Daniel J. Ambrose; son, Robert Wm. Ambrose; daughters, Elisabeth Ambrose and Patricia Ambrose Quinlan.

She is survived by her daughter, Dolores Ambrose Gawlik; grandchildren, Alexis Quinlan, Jim Gawlik and his wife, Anna, Dan Quinlan and his wife, Cassie, and Kate Quinlan Parrish and her husband, Glynn; great-grandchildren, Nicole and Megan Parrish, Ryan and Dustin Shaper, Seth Quinlan and Severin Gawlik; niece, Ginnie Martin Rientjes; great-nephews and nieces, Jim Rientjes and wife, Molly, and their children, Jennifer and James, Linda Rientjes, David Rientjes, and Janet Rientjes.

A rosary will be held 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 7, 2003, at Earthman Bellaire Chapel, 6700 Ferris. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 8, 2003, St. Albert of Trapani Catholic Church, 11027 S. Gessner. Rite of Committal: Forest Park Westheimer. Donations to the charity of your choice in her memory would be appreciated.
