Veronica was born June 19, 1926, in Fallon, the daughter of John and Francis (Beehler) Berger. On June 26, 1950, she married Adam Barnhard Sr. in Fort Yates. They farmed together in the St. Anthony area until 1953, when they purchased a farm in the Solen area. Veronica lived on the Solen farm until 2005, when she moved to Elm Crest Manor in New Salem.
Among her many interests were crafts, crocheting and making quilts for all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Veronica also enjoyed cooking, especially German recipes, and loved to bake. Her greatest pride was being with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Veronica will be remembered for her grace and sweet disposition, and her love for people and life which remained with her even when the Lord called her home.
