daughter of Samuel Harlan of Ohio Elizabeth Harlan was born July 20th, 1833 in Ohio.
On August 12th, 1850 in Ohio, she married Rev. Zachariah C. Baker was born October 27th, 1830 in Ashland, Ohio. In April 1817, the family left Ohio and came to Holt County, Missouri. Then later to Archison County, Missouri. Zacharia and Elizabeth then went to Kansas where they settled on a farm near Norcator, Kansas. They took Curtis, Harlan, and Iona with them while the other children were married or on their own.

They only stayed in Kansas for a few years and then moved to Missouri. Zachariah preached at the Milton Church at the time in the small community that was there. By the late 1900’s, all that was left of the community was about 6-12 homes grouped together and the cemetery about 3 miles from Fairfax, Missouri. Firman Baker and wide Anna are buried there in unmarked graves at the foot of Zachariah at Milton Cemetery.

Zachariah died April 22nd, 1905 and is buried at Milton Cemetery in Fairfax, Missouri. Elizabeth died August 10th, 1911 in Fairfax and is buried with her husband.
