Jonathan Doane and Martha Higgins are her parents of Eastham,Barnstable,MA..She married Capt Jabez Snow on 22 May 1755 in Eastham and had two children born in Eastham while the last three were born in Granville.

Sons William, Sylvanus and Edward were all born in Granville Township, N.S. since their mother and father arrived there in 1762 from Eastham, Mass. Births are recorded in Granville Township Book. Anna was not daughter of Elizabeth and Jabez but of their son Josiah. See Find A Grave Memorial# 111373856

Transcription of stone reads: "In memory of Elizabeth, wife of Capt. Jabez Snow and native of Boston, d. Jan 2, 1812 in her 79th year."

The unreadable text at the bottom of the stone reads as follows: "My flesh shall slumber in the ground

Till the last trumpet's joyful sound
Then burst the chains with sweet surprise And in my Savior's image rise."

It comes from:
" Then shall we hear and see and know, All we desir'd and wish'd below,

And every power find sweet employ, In that eternal world of joy.

Our flesh shall slumber in the ground, Till the last trumpet's joyful sound,
Then burst the chains with sweet surprize, And in our Saviour's image rise."
