Youngest of three children born to Rogers and Ruth Pope and the mother of two children. Paula graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Atlanta. She received her Bachelor and Master's degrees in Business Administration from Georgia State University and was a member of the National Honor Society in the field of Business Administration. She was also a dedicated leader in the Girl Scouts of America. She grew up in Atlanta's Friendship Baptist Church and was a charter member of the renowned Friendship Bell Choir. Much like a beautiful flower herself, Paula's time with us was short. Her untimely death in a car accident at a young age, however, is a reminder that each day should be lived to the fullest. She was taken too soon and will be missed by all whose lives she touched during the time she was with us. We commend Paula to the serenity, peace and the blessings of eternal life.

A lily pure and sweet, Called from the earth, Before her time, Our Glorious Lord to meet. Though we grieve, What might have been, The loss of love she gave, This very precious angel, Within our hearts will live.
