HANCOCK - Goldie A. Barnhart, 87, of Slabtown Road, died Friday, Nov. 21, 2003, at Washington County Hospital. Born Sept. 24, 1916.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Webster Barnhart, in 1988.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Hancock Church of God.

She is survived by two daughters, Freda Kerns of Hancock and Janet Kegarise of Falling Waters, W.Va.; three sons, Glenn Ray, Henry Younker, and Ernest Younker, all of Hancock; one sister, May Hull of Hancock; one brother, Ernest Ray of Warfordsburg, Pa.; 22 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by four sisters, Elizabeth Deneen, Isabelle Bishop, Nellie Ash, and Orintha Mills; three brothers, Charlie Ray, Theodore Ray, and Chester Ray; and three grandchildren.

Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Hancock Church of God. Matthew Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Orchard Ridge First Church of God Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home in Hancock, which will open at 2 p.m. Visitation also will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the church.

Memorial donations may be made to Hancock Church of God, 1004 Terrace Heights Drive, Hancock, MD 21750.
