Ray L. Harmon, 71, of Round Rock, Texas, went to his Heavenly home on Wednesday, April 28, 2010. He was born July 1, 1938 in Bowie County, Texas to Jones G. Harmon and Lee Oma (Shelton) Harmon, the third of eight children. Ray was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Wayne Harmon; and one sister, Gwen Wetz.Ray is survived by his wife of 46-plus years, Sheila (Wallace) Harmon; four children: Michael Harmon and wife Melanie and daughter, Mirabella, of Austin, TX; daughter, Karen Jeter and daughter, Elissa, of Round Rock, TX; daughter, Nikki Cottingham and husband Randy and daughters, Hannah, Julia and Gracie of Round Rock, TX; and Wallace Harmon and wife Jeri Ann and children, Shambree, Skylar, Sterling and Simeon of Hutto, TX. Ray also leaves behind three brothers: Kenneth of Sugarland, TX; Wilbur of Austin, TX; and Richard of Broken Arrow, OK; two sisters: Mary Ruth Dunham of Omaha, NE and Kay Gaddis of Texarkana, AR; and two beloved aunts: Evelyn Shelton of Austin, TX and Alice Mae Hargis of Dallas, TX; plus numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Ray Harmon Memorial Athletic Scholarship Fund at Oklahoma Christian University, P.O. Box 11000, Oklahoma City, OK 73136.Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, May 3, 2010, at the Westside Church of Christ, located at 3300 FM 1431, Round Rock, Texas.
