DEATH OF ANOTHER OLD CITIZEN
The old citizens of Brunswick are fast dropping from the stage of action. Mrs. Emiline Bowersmith, another one of the old landmarks of Brunswick , crossed the dark river on Wednesday morning, January 8th, at 2:10 o'clock. (1902)
Mrs. Bowersmith was born in Tennessee August 14, 1827. From there she removed with her parents to Kentucky, and thence to Brunswick in 1844. Was united in marriage to Levi Bowersmith, of Carroll County, on November 23, 1845. To them were born five children, four of whom still live, the father and husband having died some ten years ago. She was a member of the Christian church for many years. The funeral services will be held on Friday, January 16th at 2 o'clock p.m. at the Christian church, services to be conducted by Elder J. P. Furnish of Moberly.
The remains will be buried at the Douglas cemetery.
