Ralph D. Dragoo, 70, 602 N. Dill, well known retired Muncie businessman, died early this morning at Ball Hospital following a six weeks' illness. He was born in Delaware County, the son of John W. and Frances Rebecah Jump Dragoo, and spent his entire life in this community.
He graduated from Muncie High School and attended Eastern Indiana Normal Institute, where he was a member of the ROTC.
Mr. Dragoo was president of Muncie Lumber Company for many years prior to his retirement in 1963. He was a member of High Street United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Louise Mauzy Dragoo; a brother, Dr. Vaughn (Sam) Dragoo, Santa Rosa, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at the Meeks Mortuary 2 p.m. Sunday. Interment will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery at 10 a.m. Monday.
There will be no calling hours.
