WATERLOO - Barry Keith Sims, 70, of 206 Sid Lee Road, husband of Mary Thompson Sims, died Sunday, July 24, 2011 at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Abbeville, he was a son of Kittie Mae Howard Sims Hawkins and the late Clifton Earl Sims. He retired from Greenwood Mills, Mathews Plant and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife of the home; his mother of Hodges; two daughters, Teresa Coffey of Greenwood and Sonya Goff of Waterloo; two sons, Ricky Sims of Waterloo and Earl Sims and his fiancé, Delores, of Greenwood; a sister, Bobbie Townsend and her husband, Robert, of Hodges; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Fred Smith officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Wilson, Jimmy Wilson, Doug Bohler, Billy Hasting, Justin Pennington and Glen McDonald.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m.
