Ruby Jean Beckstead Crellin
1921 ~ 2014

Ruby Crellin, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away Sunday, October 5, 2014 at the age of 93. She was born April 22, 1921 in South Jordan, Utah to Isaac and Florence Hutchings Beckstead. She married Robert I Crellin November 8, 1941 in Tacoma, Washington. They were later sealed in the Jordan River Temple.

Mom and Dad were longtime residents of Copperton, living there 43 years. Mom was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in numerous callings, but working with the youth was always her favorite. She was an attendance secretary at both Bingham High School and Bingham Middle School, a job she loved.

She is survived by her two daughters, Nancy (John) Ferderber and Kathy (Reed) Newbold; and 3 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, 15 great grandchildren, and one special nephew Jerry Crellin.

Preceded in death by husband, Robert; 10 siblings, and one grandson, Lance.

A viewing will be held Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2014, at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State St., Midvale, Utah, from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 9, 2014 at Goff Mortuary at 11:00 a.m. with viewing prior to services from 10:00 - 10:45 a.m. Interment at South Jordan Cemetery, 1055 West 10650 South, South Jordan, Utah.
