Ora Drane Dies
Ora J. Drane 64, engaged in the farm implement and feed business in Stockton for a number of years, passed away about 4 o'clock Saturday morning, at his home following an illness of several weeks, leaving many friends of long standing.
Ora J. Drane was born near Stockton on Jan. 23, 1880, the son of John and Sylvia Drane, and on March 6, 1901, was united in marriage to Miss Minnie Pulfrey.
He is survived by his widow, three children, Lyle Drane of Stockton, Mrs. Allen Coomber of Nora, and Earle Drane in the U.S. Navy, one sister, Mrs. Leona Typper of Freeport, and one brother, Joseph Drane of Stockton, and three grandchildren.
The funeral was held Tuesday at the Evangelical church with Rev. E.Y. Knapp of Lanark officiating, assisted by Rev. E.E. Schaefer, and burial was in the Townsend cemetery. His son Earle Drane, with the Navy came from Washington, D.C.
