[The original area of the Town of Saybrook, founded in 1635, has since been divided into five towns. On Dec. 15, 1709 of record at Stonington, Conn., Mehitable m. (by her father John Chapman) to 1) Lemuel Richardson, s. of Stephen Richardson and Lydia Gilbert, bapt. Aug. 12, 1688 at Stonington, Conn. Lemuel d. testate May 24, 1713 at East Haddam, Conn. (Æ 25.) Three children were b. of the marriage: Mehitable, Samuel, and Lemuel (d.y.)
On Mar. 21, 1715/16 of record at East Haddam, Mehitable m. 2) Sgt. John Warner, s. of Daniel Warner and Martha Boltwood, b. Apr. 16, 1677 at Hatfield, Mass. He d. Mar. 17, 1749/50 at East Haddam (g.s., Æ 73.) Nine children of the family: John, Daniel, Nathaniel, Jabez, Judah, Elizabeth, Abraham, Noadiah, and Joseph.

Based on Mehitable's recorded date of birth at Saybrook, Conn. (Sept. 29, 1688), on the day Mehitable died she was 87 years old, and Ætatis suæ (i.e., Æ, "Aged," in the XX year of her Age) 88, not 87 as inscribed.
