Mrs. Charlotte Lawrence, 78, died yesterday at the home of her son David Lawrence.

Mrs. Lawrence was born February 18, 1874, in Circleville, Pendleton County, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Burns.

Her husband, Harness Lawrence, died several years ago.

Survivors include four other sons, James Lawrence, Hambleton; George and Fisher Lawrence, Alexandria, Va., and Merle Lawrence, Elkins; three daughters, Mrs. Sylvia Judy, Dryfork, Mrs. Marle Collins and Mrs. Sally Wolford, both of Alexander; one brother, John Burns and two sisters, Mrs. Laura Blan and Mrs. Terry Bennett all of Circleville.

Services will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. in Beuna Church, Canaan Valley. Rev. J. W. Miller will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
