Marie was the daughter of the late Harness Lawrence and Charlotte Burns Lawrence.
She was preceded in death by her husband Max M. Collins on Feb. 2, 1999; a son Bruce Collins; a daughter Dorothy Moody; three sisters, E;;a Collins, Sylvia Judy and Sally Wolford and six brother, George, James, Victor, Merl, Gerald and Dan Lawrence. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Mrs. Collins retired as a banquet supervisor in Virginia and attended the Petersburg Church of God.
