Francis Marion Pool was the son of Samuel C. Pool. he was born 1833 in South Carolina. He married Savilla Pannell on Nov.6,1851, in Mississippi. Along with one brother and his father, Francis was a Civil War veteran, Ms. State Calvary who was crippled in a railroad accident during the war. After the war he moved his family to Hopkins County, Texas. He died on Nov. 22, 1881. His wife Savilla died Nov. 28, 1881.
