Dies Suddenly

Walter Scott, 58, of Cambridge, and formerly of Medford, an M.T.A. engineer and active member of Mount Herman Lodge A.F. and A.M. of this city, died suddenly Thursday at his home.

Born in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Mr. Scott had been living in Cambridge for the past 25 years. He formerly resided in Medford for many years and had an almost perfect attendance record as a member of Mount Herman Lodge.
Employed for several years by the M.T.A. highway engineering division, he was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Somerville and the Engineers' Blue Room Club of Boston.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ann (Veinotte) Scott of Cambridge; a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Kurth, 10 Brookings Street; a brother. Capt. Pierre Scott of Halifax, N. S.; four sisters, Anna Scott of Roselle Park, N.J., Mrs. Martha Cushing of Yarmouth, N.S., Mrs. Edna Semister of New York and Mrs. Margaret Woodman of Vancouver, B.C., and three grandchildren.

Special Masonic services by members of Mount Herman Lodge will be conducted Saturday at 8 P.M. in the Allen Funeral Home, 23 Forest Street.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 P.M. in the Allen Funeral Home with the Rev. Albert Fisher of the Church of the Latter Day Saints, Somerville, officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.
