Margret Shaw was born Margret Fannie Gentry on Aug. 24, 1922, in Concho County and passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2011. She was the fourth of six children born to George and Alma Jane Gentry.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James W. Shaw; her brother, Thomas Gentry; and two elder sisters, Georgia Lee Pendergrass and Uleon De La Fuente. She is survived by one brother, Samuel Walter Gentry; and one sister, Ludie Hopper. Also her daughter, Linda Clark; and son Larry Clark and wife Susan; grandson Justin Lampier and wife Scarlet; granddaughters Lacy Clark and Meagan Clark Summers and her husband, David; and one great-grandson, Sutton Lampier.

She will be remembered as a world-class cook and loving mother. She delighted in her grandchildren and her great-grandson, Sutton. She enjoyed family gatherings at Linda's house until her final days. Margret loved the Lord and Linda spent countless hours reading the Bible to her. I know she was greeted on Sunday morning, July 17, 2011, as she entered that house not made by human hands eternal in the heavens. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 25, 2011, in Johnson's Funeral Home chapel with the burial to follow in Live Oak Cemetery in Eden, Texas. Special thanks to Rick Banfield and all the caring people at VistaCare.
