Funeral services for Alvin B. Pearson, 65, of Big Piney, were conducted Tuesday at 3 p.m. in the multi-purpose room of the Big Piney Elementary School, the Rev. Barry Cox officiating. Burial was in Plainview Cemetery in Big Piney.

Mr. Pearson died Saturday, May 10, at his home after a long illness.

Born October 18, in Sandy, Utah, he attended elementary schools in Sandy and finished his schooling at the Bronx School in the Bondurant area of Sublette County.

He married Teresa Rose Subic June 17, 1944. He had worked on ranches in the Bondurant area until 1943 when he moved to Big Piney and was employed as a carpenter for the Big Piney Mercantile Co. He joined the Big Piney Police Department as a city patrolman in 1962 and served in that position until retiring in 1974.

Survivors include his wife, Rose of Big Piney; three sons, Ben and Paul, both of Daniel, and Kenneth of Big Piney; four brothers, Art of Petaluma, California, Marvin of Bondurant, Tony of Pinedale and Joe of Salt Lake City; three sisters, Mrs. Kaye Dunfield of Salt Lake City, Mrs. Anna Sorenson of Provo, Utah, and Mrs. Genevieve Ferguson of Sandy, Utah; seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three brothers; George, Henry and Hilmer, and one son, Ronald.
