AUGUSTA - Marjorie A. Ainslie, 72, of Summerhaven Road, died Thursday, July 21, 2011, at MaineGeneral Medical Center, Augusta. She was born in Augusta on June 4, 1939, the daughter of Eben and Gertrude (Smith) Dudley.

Marjorie graduated from Cony High School in 1957, and had worked at Westinghouse Electric in Augusta for several years. A homemaker for most of her life, she was the family caretaker who looked out for everyone and anyone who needed help. She enjoyed the time she spent with family and friends, especially at their camp on Moxie Lake at The Forks. She had been a kidney transplant survivor for the last 18 years.

She was predeceased by her siblings, Lillian Ladner, Lena Reed, Cecelia Farnham, Eben F. Dudley Jr., Robert Dudley, Madeline Charest, Donald Dudley, Norma Maxim and Shirley Tedeschi.

She is survived by her husband, John Ainslie, of Augusta; a son, John Ainslie, and wife, Rhonda, of Sidney; two daughters, Vicki Mihalik and husband Thomas of Belgrade, and Susan Ainslie of Augusta; three sisters, Roberta Woodward of Sidney, Virginia Cloutier of Winthrop and Beverly Philbrick of Oakland; six grandchildren, Robert Somes III, Daniel Somes, Hannah Ainslie, Abigail Ainslie, Scott Mihalik and Alyssa Mihalik; also several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Belgrade. (Morning Sentinel 7/23/2011)
