Lois Lillian Brown

(VALLEY) Funeral services for Lois Lillian Brown, 89, of Valley, formerly of
Roanoke, will be Wednesday, April 16, 1997, at 3 p.m. at Welcome Home Baptist
Church, with the Revs. Maynard McGinty and Jimmy Brown officiating. Burial will
follow at the church cemetery.
Mrs. Brown died Monday, April 14, at Lanier Memorial Nursing Home in Valley.
A Randolph County native, she was born October 8, 1907, daughter of Will and
Josie Richardson Bailey. She was a member of Welcome Home Baptist Church and
the Eastern Star and had retired from Lanett Mills.
Survivors include two daughters, Ann Carson of Wadley and Vivian Nixon of
LaFayette; four sons, James E. Brown and Casper M. Brown both of Valley, and
William A. Brown and Charlie F. Brown, both of Lanett; 16 grandchildren;
22 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Brown will lie in state at the church for one hour beginning at 2 p.m.
on Wednesday.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Quattlebaum Funeral Home of Roanoke is in charge of arrangements.
