GREENVILLE, GA -- Rev Joseph Andrew Bailey, 84, of 1001 Elm St., Greenville, a former resident of LaGrange, died Monday in Greenville.

The funeral will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Unity Baptist Church in LaGrange, with burial in Shadowlawn Cemetery, according to Maddox-Page Funeral Home.

Rev Bailey was born 17 Nov. 1894, in Randolph County, AL, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Bailey. He had lived in LaGrange for the past 30 years. He was a retired minister and a former employee of Callaway Mills Co. with 19 years service.

Survivors include his wife, Omie, LaGrange; five daughters, Mrs. Levis Owens, Mrs. Louise Feazell, both of Anniston, AL, Mrs. Mary Tom Parker, College Park, GA, Mrs. Ella V. Hollis, Columbus, GA, Mrs. Marie Branch, Greenville; four sons, J. J. Bailey, White Plains, AL, John Bailey, Anniston, AL, Eugene Bailey, Pine Mountain, GA, W. C. Bailey, Fayetteville, GA; four sisters, Mrs. Dura Jackson, Roanoke, AL, Mrs. Katie Willingham, Thomaston, GA, Mrs. Lois Brown, Langdale, AL, Mrs. Effie Hill, Fairfax, AL; 24 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.
