COPENHAGEN, April 26--Phineas Woolworth, an old and respected resident of this village died at his residence in that place Sunday, and funeral services were held Tuesday. Mr. Woolworth was born in the town of Pinckney in 1827, but had resided at Copenhagen 35 years, during which time he held several town offices, serving as justice of the peace of 24 years. His father, Thaddeus Woolworth, came to Lewis county in 1808, and of a family of eight children two are still living. The deceased married Julia Paris in 1842, who with two daughters, survive.
